What is TVET ?

TVET stands for Technical and Vocational Education and Training. It is an education and training process that focuses on equipping individuals with the skills, knowledge, and practical experience required for specific occupations. TVET programmes emphasize industrial practice and hands-on learning, aiming to produce a competent workforce that meets recognized occupational standards. What is Diploma in Food & Beverages Management?

The Malaysian Skills Diploma (DKM) in Food and Beverage Management is a specialized educational programme designed to produce skilled professionals for the food and beverage industry, including hospitality, restaurants, catering, and related sectors. This diploma emphasizes the technical, managerial, and ethical aspects of food and beverage operations. Students gain hands-on training in F&B operations, customer service, food preparation and presentation, and resource management, equipping them with the practical skills and knowledge needed to excel in the industry.

Programme Objective

The Diploma in Food & Beverage Management aims to produce skilled professionals equipped to excel in food operations and services. Graduates will:

  • Master food preparation, presentation, and cost control techniques
  • Ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance
  • Understand relevant laws and regulations in the F&B industry
  • Develop strong communication and customer service skills
  • Professionally manage inventory and day-to-day operations

This programme prepares students to meet the high standards of hotels, catering services, and restaurants, producing competent, industry ready professionals.

Entry Requirement

  • Malaysia citizens age 16 to 40.
  • End of form Three (PT3) or Intermediate.
  • Can read, write and count.
  • Have completed Level 3 in a related field for entry to Level 4.

Financial Assistance

The college facilitates access to the Skills Development Fund (PTPK) loan, helping eligible students finance their education and training.
